1. Admissions Process

What are the eligibility criteria for admission?

• The eligibility criteria for admission to certificate and diploma courses is not rigid. Any student can take up the skill courses and successfully complete the courses without much difficulty.Though the coursework is intensive,

Is work experience required for admission?

• Work experience is not mandatory.

What are the application deadlines?

• Admissions are open throughout the year, 24/7.

Are GMAT/GRE scores mandatory? Can they be waived?

• GMAT/TOFEL or MAT are required only for the PG Courses. However, the admission authority may waive this requirement based on the overall credentials of the applicant.

What documents are needed for the application?

• For admission to Certificate and Diploma Courses, the following documents are required:
  • Soft copies of the academic certificates
  • Proof of age and date of birth.
  • Postal address.
  • Email Id.
  • Name and Sur Name as in any official id like Aadhaar.
  • Soft copy of an official id.

2. Programs and Curriculum

What programs and specializations are offered?

• In all, there are 7,000 courses that are available in the “course library.” However, 120+ courses which are relevant in the Indian scenario with good employment potential are cherry picked. For a list of these courses you could email the admission coordinator at registrar.rimsr@nefuniversity.org.
• NEF-RIMSR offers “Job-Ready Skill Courses.” The content of these courses is developed by ‘SKILLSOFT, USA,’ which is a global behemoth. The coursework is intensive, and extremely well presented on the state-of-the-art LMS. It involves, tutorials, assignments, exercises, pre and post course tests, boot-camps, webinars – both synchronous and asynchronous, real-time Q & A virtual sessions, and online mentoring. If found necessary,offline sessions are also organized for a small additional fee.
• The courses are classified under four categories. They are:
  • Business Skill Courses,
  • Productivity and Collaboration Tools,
  • IT Skill Courses, and
  • Preparatory Courses for Certifications.

Can I pursue dual degrees or certifications alongside my Degree Program?

• Yes, you can. The “Job-Ready Skill Courses” are a great supplicant to your regular degree courses. Hence, most institutions have included these courses as part of their curriculum.

3. Financial Assistance

Are scholarships or financial aid available?

• The Courses are priced to reach out to every student and are most affordable. Compared to the average fee charged by other institutions, the “Job-Ready Skill Courses” are 10 times lower.

What are the tuition fees, and are there installment options?

• The course fee is highly subsidized, that is, up to 95% by the National Education Foundation, Washington DC, USA, under the aegis of a mission titled MIG – MAKE INDIA GREAT. The purpose of this mission is to train and super-skill a million Indian students and make them “Job-Ready” with good employment opportunities.

4. Career Opportunities

What kind of career support services are available?

• Students who under go “Job-Ready Skill Courses” have a clear advantage over others at the stage of placements.

Are there internship opportunities during the program?

• NEF-RIMSR is actively working out to involve major Indian employers to create an “internship program.” However, assistance and facilitation are provided to students who successfully complete their courses by prominently showcasing them on social media platforms like ‘Linked In.’ Successful students are given badges and medallions that are prominently displayed on social media.
